Dr. Mehrdad Alibouri

I am a researcher of Nanotechnology at the University of Southampton. I studied chemical engineering at Isfahan University of Technology. The subject of my thesis was investigation of transport phenomena in tubular reactor using CFD.  My DPhil was on "Preparation of hydrodesulfurization nanocatalyst on Al_HMS nanostructure support via supercritical deposition". I have a strong background in making high pressure and temperature reactor in difference scales for synthesis of nanomaterial and thin film via supercritical deposition. My research interests are focused on the synthesis, characterization and evaluation of nanocatalysts for hydrocarbon catalytic processing and Pd membrane for purification of H2 from gas mixture for fuel cell via supercritical deposition. I have developed to synthesize Pt and Pd nanocatalyst with uniform and high dispersion on alumina and carbon (MWCNT, SWCNT and Carbon Volcano) surface via supercritical deposition that it is useful in fuel cell and catalytic process applications.
